Actually, Ethernet access is quite simple. You can take a PC, stick
an Ethernet card in it, run your favorite speech program, and then run your
favorite implementation of telnet in the DOS environment. NCSA Telnet is
free, some of the other ones charge, and some work better than others with
certain computers. For Unix, however, most anything will usually do.
Another method, for those sights which have them, is for blind users to
plug their equipment into a terminal server and then use the Ethernet
connection in the terminal server to get around the local area network.
