To:
Members of the R&D Committee

I have received instructions from our national office to perform
the following tasks:
1 Obtain an Internet address for NFB with local dial access in
Baltimore, MD.

2 Obtain suitable hardware to receive Internet mail at the National
Office.
3 Obtain or write the software to automate the downloading and
printing of incoming mail.
4 Personally come or send someone to Baltimore to install the
system.

Regarding item 3: At this time, our only interest in the Internet
is electronic mail. Furthermore, all incoming mail is to be
immediately committed to paper and thereafter handled as other
incoming mail and FAX messages. There will be only one address,
such as nfb@vender.com. Distribution of mail to individuals will
be made on the basis of names which appear in an "inside address"
or other part of the body of the text.

Please let me have your advice, recommendations, expressed desire
to participate or other comments via e-mail or phone as soon as
possible. I am told that this system is to be implemented
immediately.

Sincerely

T. V. (Tim) Cranmer
