Subject: CD-ROM Project
In the most recent issue of UPDATE from the Sensory Access Foundation,
there was an item describing efforts being made by Personal Data Systems
regarding the accessibility of specific CD-ROM titles. My understanding
is that SET files for Vocal-Eyes and reference cards are being or have
been developed for such CD-ROM's as the Library of the Future, Countries
of the World, and more. Although this does not overlap our project, it
would seem appropriate to gain a better understanding of what they are
doing. Perhaps someone on this list may have first-hand knowledge of
what is being done by Personal Data Systems and how it might affect what
we do.
Regards,
Steve Jacobson
