I would like to thank DR. Nemeth for responding to my comments regarding
his last post but one. I certainly agree with his rebuttle but would point
out that a lot of people use scientific calculators for computing
applications. For example, I know people who regularly use their
calculators to do quick base conversions for translating between decimal
and hexadecimal. Keeping in mind Dr. Nemeth's model of having a scientific
calculator have a wide array of operators in addition to the 4 standard
functions, I would submit that as the first task of testing the calculator,
Dr Nemeth, or someone he designates, should write a little library of
programs that add "quick-keys" for functions that could be done
interactively but which would be faster to just keep stored in the system.
For example, I know one can convert from base to base using logs, but,
perhaps, one of the standard libraries we distribute with the calculator is
one that programs a key to do hex conversion or octal conversion.

Finally, I hope that the calculator program itself will not be required
to be loaded as a TSR application. An option, perhaps, but only an option.
