Hello All. I read with interest your comments on Slimware Window
Bridge. It seems a good program and while I'm not in
broadcasting at this time I hope to get back into it. Many radio
and tv stations have gone entirely to a paperless studio as they
call it. This means that all information such as weather,
P.S.A.'s, Program logs, Engineering logs, Meter readings, play lists
Etc are contained within a computer and displayed on a monitor screen
and called up as needed. While this may not be the best solution for
a blind D.J. or producer since a sighted user can see the entire
screen at once while we must have the speech read it to us one line or
item at a time, it certainly needs to be accessable. Most of this
music selection and other software is G.U.I. based and therefore needs
a windows program to access. I may be interested in testing a demo
version. When I was last in the business, from Oct. of 1987 to
December of 1992 this area was largely inaccessable to us and
just making its way to radio stations in this market. Take care.
