Hi Steve,
You are right that printers with a graphics mode do
place the dots more closely together. I can get you or Dr. Nemeth
more exact figures if you wish.
they include the Blazer, Juliet, Everest, and others.
However, Abe's method would also be useable by printers without
a graphics mode.
