Thanks for the report on your experiment with aluminium foil and your dot
matrix printer. Perhaps you know that if you can obtain a real good
graphic image on foil, it can be replicated on plastic using a Thermoform
machine. This is a vaccuum forming process. Plastic is not as good as
paper, but quite servicable.

Tin might work better than aluminium in your dot matrix printer. It
might be hard to find it in suitable sheet sizes. I have a roll of tin,
about six inches wide, that I got from a dental supply shop. I'll give
it a try, as soon as I catchup on a few other committments!
