Hello:

     Dipner Dots was technically done using the period on a daisy wheel printer.
The platten was covered with soft rubber (Surgical tubing). The reader read the back
side of the paper. I believe the Mboss One from Vtek was a refinement of this
principle.
A similar system was done in the old days of computers using the period on a line
printer. A piece of elastic was stretch over the print hammers to make the cushion.

     As for the Pixelmaster, if memory serves me correctly, Howtech was forced to
stop producing this machine because it violated a patent.
There were, I think, maintenance problems with these printers. Anytime you try spraying
hot wax you are asking for trouble.
