The BPM system is more closely related to an inkjet printer. It spews
out particles that stick together. The cost of the machine ranges from
$29,000 to $35,000 depending on options. I am going from memory but I think
the operating area is about 8X11X4 inches. The plastic costs about $100 per pound
but the parts are very light. The parts are hollow so they don't need much
plastic. If desired, a part can be made with a "crosshatch" structure so it
is more solid.
