Tim,

I agree with you on this topic. I have listened to books read by a
synthesizer, and it can be tedious. I think of all the foreign names and
the names of classics themselves. The following come to mind: Euripides,
Sophocles, Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes, Les Miserables, Jean Valjean,
Candide.

As someone who has a hearing loss, listending to long periods of prose or
poetry can be fatiguing because of the level of concentration needed. I
am vry open to doing this for short articles, andd would be quite happy
if I could get the newspaper in this way.
