Lloyd, you make some excellent observation on acoustical properties of
canes. As this project proceeds, we will keep your comments in mind
along with other good advice from this group.
As I see it, once the best material for the cane tip has been identified,
our attention must be directed toward shashaping and mounting the tip in
a way that results in the most useful echoes.
I anticipate having the first four canes available for evaluation at our
January 27th, 1996 meeting.
