John;
I'm looking forward to the meetings at convention. There is always
something to learn.
I have been wanting to get in touch with you regarding the accessibility
of the new Qualcomm digital cellular and PCS phones. My brother is a
software engineer for Qualcomm here in Boulder, and is testing out one of
the digital cellular phones. The sound quality is fantastic, but unless
there is some kind of push for accessibility features to be built into
these phones, many of the real great features of this new technology will
again be unavailable to those of us who are blind. Are you working on
anything like this, or do you know of anybody who is? My brother says
that he doesn't think that anybody at Qualcomm has any concept of what
accessibility is, or how to make things accessible. If you don't have
time to deal with this, I would be glad to get involved if you could tell
me who I need to talk to and give me their phone number.
Thanks for your time,
Jim Rebman <jrebman@netcom.com>
