Hi Mike--
I think I replied to your query yesterday about lynx and proxies (perhaps you
didn't get it?)
I thought I'd reply to the NFB list as well this time since I am sure a lot of
users on this list have the same question (read apologies for not mentioning
it on the WWW site in the first place)
On UNIX, lynx examines a set of environment variables to set up your proxies.
The environment variables are all lower case, and of the form
<protocol>_proxy thus, you have http_proxy ftp_proxy gopher_proxy
If using csh do
setenv http_proxy http://access.adobe.com:8080
if using bash do
export http_proxy="http://access.adobe.com:8080"
If you also want to visit pdf files available via ftp do
setenv ftp_proxy http://access.adobe.com:8080
Hope this helps, and hope to see
at least some of you at CSUN.
