I started "worrying" about this in December of '95 when Microsoft
announced that it was going to adopt the Java standard. I attempted to
raise the issue with those who were present at the '96 Washington
Seminar, but only one person seemed interested at the time. In addition
to Java, you should also be paying lots of attention to Lucent
Technologies' Inferno and Limbo products -- they have the same, or
greater potential to limit accessibility, however, the Inferno kernel
also has the potential to support an intrinsic accessibility solution.
There is much to do.
