Hello All,
I was in Sweeden for the meeting on file specifications for new talking
books. I suggested that the consortium adopt a standard file spec for the
talking book system.
Many of the members agreed and had made the same recommendation. It looks
like the DAISY system will be moving to a more standard system.
Currently RFB&D is working with the DAISY consortium and with the NLS in
developing the next generation of talking books.
I believe that it would be possible to use any web browser to play and
search for information of a system like this.
I will be at the NFB conference and the ACB conference and demo what we're
talking about.
