You may be interested to know that the National Federation of the
Blind, NFB, has just hired Curtis Chong as its new Director of Technology.
In this newly created position Chong will be in charge of the International
Braille and Technology Center for the Blind, NEWSLINE for the Blind, and
other current and future technology projects of the Federation.
Chong is presently a systems analyst with American Express and has
been President of the NFB in Computer Science since 1984. Chong has
published a wide variety of articles concerning computers, access
technology, and other technology topics in the Braille Monitor and elsewhere
over the years. Chong is a long-time advocate for technology access for
blind people and in his new position he should be able to devote his
considerable energy and ability to increasing our access to technology.
