You will recall that yesterday I sent you a Legislative Update from the
National Federation of the Blind. This update concerned a possible funding
increase for the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped.
It seems that the Senate and House have appropriated different amounts for
NLS, the Senate figure is approximately $3 million higher. This issue will
be decided soon by a House/Senate conference Committee. This matter will be
decided soon and everyone who can should contact conference committee
members.
To assist you with this matter I have located e-mail addresses for all the
committee members except one, Livingston from Louisiana. I hope that this
information helps you with your efforts.
