Subject: Vision substitution software
Dear All,

Version v1.13 of The vOICe Learning Edition for
Windows-95/98/NT is now available from

   http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Meijer/winvoice.htm

The vOICe experimental vision substitution software
translates video frames from a digital camera (webcam)
into sounds that one hears via stereo headphones, thus
targetting vision substitution applications for the
totally blind. User feedback is appreciated, in order
to further improve the software.

Note: it is still unknown how far people can get
through training with this new technology.

Kind regards,

Peter Meijer
