Well, since there has been such a paltry response to this message, I will put something out!
I think we need a portable, battery-powered, hand-held device that will read small display screens on electronic devices. It should read LCD's, LED's, etc. I can't set my oven, it has a display, so does my microwave and coffee maker. My new stainless steel grill even has a digital meter to tell me how much gas there is. We need some way to query these devices, some kind of reader would be great!
