a.. Drivers who cannot see can drive talking vehicle
Students at Virginia Tech have upgraded a dirt buggy with laser range finders, an interface for voice commands and other equipment to enable drivers with visual impairments to drive. Instead of using technology to drive itself, the buggy senses its surroundings and offers drivers who cannot see information so that they can make decisions about braking, speed and steering.
