Hello folks!
The National Convention of the National Federation of the Blind is approaching
soon, so get your reservations in at the Anaheim Hilton.
The Science and Engineering Division is planning a lot of exciting
things this year so stay tuned.
Remember the Science and Enginering breakfast will take place Sunday,
June 30, at 7 a.m.
The division will be meeting at the regular division time Monday afternoon.
See the convention agenda for details.
This year we will focus on how to hone our skills and get ahead on the
job. A number of technical talks will be presented as well.
Melissa Williamson will tell us how she learned to write on the
chalk board and teach her class handwriting.
I am her eager student.
I am in my twenties and I can't write; and what's more,
the engineers around me can't understand math orally.
So learning to write is a skill I need quickly.
This talk should be interesting.
Brian Buhrow is coordinating a pannel of folks talking about their careers
in science. Michael Gosse is coordinating the pannel of technical
presentations. Contact Brian and Mike or me if you have ideas for
these pannels. Oh, and if there is something else we should
do this year, tell me and we'll do it.
