Line numbers in assembler source????
Never heard of any such thing.
Line numbers a generally generated by the assembler.
To make things worse, the more modern cross-assemblers being
written for use on the PC are "free form" so that structured code
indentations may be used, for "clarity".
I DO however aggree that whatever is done for blind people writing assembly
language code, the answer lies in having control of the translator.
As for speech,
have you ever heard a computer try to pronounce something like CJNE ?
or differentiate NOP vs NOOP.
I'm still struggling with a magnifying glass and a monitor.
