ANNOUNCING: ACCESS
(Achieving Competence in Computing, Engineering, and Space Science)

a summer internship program sponsored by the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA)

DO YOU KNOW A COLLEGE STUDENT WITH A DISABILITY WHO WANTS AN
OUTSTANDING SUMMER OPPORTUNITY!

AAAS is seeking students studying engineering, mathematics,
physics, or computer science to apply for a 10-week internship at
NASA CENTERs. ACCESS (Achieving Competence in Computing,
Engineering, and Space Science) is a 10-week paid internship
program at NASA centers around the United States. It is designed
for the undergraduate and graduate student with a disability who
has a strong background in science and a desire to pursue a
technical career. Students will work with scientists and engineers
in an area compatible to their interests. This is a chance to
apply academic skills in the workplace and get practical
professional experience. Accessible housing, transportation, and
appropriate assistive technology are available. AAAS is recruiting
students to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

STIPEND: Minimum stipend: $3850 for 10 weeks

SPONSORS: American Association for the Advancement of Science
(AAAS), Project on Science, Technology & Disability

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Majoring in a technical field, i.e. Computer Science, Engineering,
Mathematics, Physical Sciences
B average in major
United States citizen
Enrollment in a 4-year accredited institution or in graduate school

LOCATION: Internships will be located at several NASA centers
around the country. Assistance will be offered in finding
accessible housing, transportation, and other accommodations.
