Hey guys,
I don't think Clicker training is good. Alabama is not a clicker
dog we missed by a few classes. I've even seen the petco or petsmart
trainers using it when I've been in the store. It sounds good.
At last national convention I went to a workshop hosted by GDB.
They taught the fundamental principles of clicker training. I think we
were there for about an hour to an hour and a half. Definitely not
enough time to be an expert but what I saw was pretty cool. My opinion
is it seems to bring out the initiative in your dog.
I'm not sure what dangerous components may be associated with
clicker training. The only thing I can think of is the dog's possible
mistaking the clicker sound. The sound is pretty distinct and comes
from a specific area. From what I understand the clicking comes from
your right hand holding the harness and or leash. I don't think dog's
are that confused.
I hope I was helpful. Ken could you be a little more specific about
your concern so you could get a clearer answer. I've got plenty of
those.
