Flipper uses an interesting technique for determining the state of the
Caps-Lock key. If you have the Caps-Lock key on, and press a shift-key,
(making a lower-case letter), the speaker generates a tone. This is
particularly useful when I forget the state of the caps-lock key when I
have to go away from my desk for an extended period or, as often happens on
my lap-top, I hit it by accident when hitting the alt key. I really like
this feature because it informs me as to the state of the caps-lock key
even when I'm not thinking about it.
It is rare that I use all caps with lowercase mixed in, but I do use
lower-case with caps mixed in. The only exceptions to this might be when
you want to type shifted numbers to get symbols.
