In the October, 1993 PC/Computing I I read an interesting article.
It was a review of two PDA's or Personal Data Assistants.
The interesting thing about them is that they are both equipped
with infrared links, serial I believe.
They are the Apple Newton, also available from Shart,
That is Sharp
and the Zoomer from Tandy and Casio.
I would think that this could mean that there may be, or will be readily
available affordable comercial infrared stuff for computers.
It can only bode well for R&D plans, and for blind people, if this stuff becomes
more available and used.
