Hello:
In reference to John Miller's comments: I have read of epoxy resins
filled with various materials. These range from bronze, steel to carbide.
I think the carbide type of material is used for coal and rock equipment.
Perhaps we should try stainless steel for the tip. This ought to lass longer.
As far as coatings go; back when I got my first alluminum cane which my
orienter and I made. We put 3M scotchlite on it. Maybe 3M has a print that
has the microscopic beads in it. If we really wanted to, we could have a red
tip on our canes.
