Subject: LCD Reader referred to Dr. Snider
Date: March 31, 1994

I am asking Dr. Snider to follow up on the LCD reader described
below in a message I received from Tim Noonan. Tim and I spoke
briefly about this product when we were at the John Gardner

Here comes Noonan:

Subject: Product sheet as promised

Hi Tim,

When we met at CSUN I spoke about a product called LCD Reader.

Following is the brochure for the product but I have no additional
information
about it. A friend of mine brought this product sheet back from a
European
conference.

Regards

Tim

LCD READER

HELPS THE VISUALLY HANDICAPPED TO READ THE VISUAL DISPLAY ON MODERN
EQUIPMENT

The LCD Reader reads the signals to the display and converts them
so that the
information can be presented either in Braille, in speech or in
large print.
Warning
lights and types of displays other than LCD can also be read and
the
information
presented in different ways.

FOR THE VISUALLY HANDICAPPED THERE IS A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS:

- Musicians can read the information displayed on synthesizers.

- Switchboard operators can read the different displays and
warning lights
on
     the switchboard.

- Sound engineers can read the display on CD players.

- mechanical engineers can read the displays on NC machines and
measuring
     equipment.

- Information on the laser printer display unit can be shown on
the
computer
     screen.

The LCD Reader can read the displays on most equipment but certain
adjustment
might have to be made. Appliances for which adjustments have
already been
designed can be quickly adjusted at a fixed price, new appliances
can take a
little
longer and cost a little more. Please get in touch with us for our
current
list of
adjusted products.
