Subject: GUI Guidelines
Dave, the guidelines for the GUI evaluations look great. Just a couple
of thoughts.

In guideline #3 dealing with requirements, touch upon any video driver
requirements specifically. Tim Newman also touched upon this, but it is
my understanding that in addition to resolution restrictions that early
products did not work with some graphic accellerator boards. You may
well have implied this in your guideline already, but with graphic or
WINDOWS accellerator boards being so widely used, it something to be
sure to address.

Another area that you may have already implied is whether the speech
software can be used to install WINDOWS. This may be part of whether the
GUI speech software also includes DOS access. I believe that Artic
WinVision and the latest version of SlimWare WINDOWS Bridge can be used
to install WINDOWS while Pro-talkand Screen Reader/2 cannot be used to
install their respective operating systems. This needs to be verified,
though.

Please let me know if you need further explanation of either point. Thanks
for the good work.

Regards,
Steve Jacobson
