MEMORANDUM
To: Members And Friends
NFB R&D Committee
From: T. V. Cranmer, Chairman
Subject: Graphing Calculator
Date: September 2, 1994
Robert Jaquiss sent me a copy of a shareware scientific calculator
written by Daniel Corbrier of Miami Florida. It looks pretty good.
All of the math and geometry functions are included, along with
extensive graphing utilities. I have advised Corbrier of our
interest in producing tactile graphs and raised the question of
adapting his calculator for this purpose. I now await his
response.
Let me know if any of you want a copy of this shareware program and
I will send you the uuencoded file containing the zipped files.
Just moments ago Emerson told me that Noel Runyon, TSI, and (he
thought) another vendor offer scientific calculators with tactile
graphing. Any one with information about these or other products
with tactile graphing facility should share it with this group. If
Abe and John are toiling away for naught, we should redirect their
labors.
