The California Voter Foundation (CVF) has started keeping this year's
California election matteriials on-line via gopher for the benefit of the
voting and non-voting public. It is a pilot project, designed to see what
kind of need there is out there for this kind of thing. Although I realize
most of you are not located in California and that you won't be voting in
the california election next week, you might want to check out the gopher
site. The executive director, Kim Alexander is a friend of a friend of
mine and she reports that Kim is getting a number of calls from state
officials from other states askking what they're doing, how they're doing
it, and how they can do it too.
So, check out the gopher site (gopher.kn.pacbell.com) and send Kim your
comments regarding the quality of the service. I have looked enough to
know that the voter's guide is there, along with commentary on many of the
propositions.
Kim's e-mail address is: ovg@kn.pacbell.com
