Hello friends,
five weeks ago we had a meeting of the committee on information
technology, which has members from different organizitions of the blindin
Germany. One of our topics was Windows Access for visually impaired
persons. Some of our members are betatesters for different products.

The overall statement was: If You do not need to use Windows, stay away
from the access programs. None of them have reached a state in which they
should be sold.

So this is also true for Windots. One of its biggest disadvantages, which
one of the Betatesters of that product mentioned, was, that it is terribly
slow. He said sometimes You can types several lines ahead of what is being
displayed on the Braille display. He said that also leaving windows cannot
be done in an orderly fession with that program.

He was waiting for a newer version of Windots, so maybe some of those bugs
have been fixed in the mean time.

Best greetings,
Norbert.
