What we did
-----------
We took the great (copyright-expired) books from the Internet,
cleaned them up, marked them up, compressed them, and wrote a
reader that let's you change almost everything about how they
are displayed OFFLINE on your Windows PC.

What it's like
--------------
Like Mosaic, you just click on a hyper-text link to go to a
particular book or chapter within a book.

Like Mosaic, if you resize the window, the text re-flows to fit.

Like Mosaic, you can change fonts. Our marked-up versions of
the literature include distinguishing Titles from Foreign Phrases
from As Such from Authors from Chapter Headings.

Like Mosaic, you can change the point size of the type. (Of course,
we let you do it by hitting the PLUS and MINUS keys.)

What it's not like
------------------
Unlike Mosaic, you can have a one-page or two-page presentation
(just like a real book).

Unlike Mosaic, you can adjust Paragraph Indent, Paragraph Spacing,
Line Spacing, Margins, Tab Stops and Quoted Paragraph Indent.

Unlike Mosaic, you have your choice of justified or ragged-right
text. (Oh, yeah, did we mention that you can actually CENTER text?)

Unlike Mosaic, you don't need a network, at all. We ship you the
text on Neanderthal floppy disks (rather compressed, though: the
Bible fits on one floppy).

Unlike Mosaic, you can buy one of these to give as a present, and
we'll include a custom Dedication page so the recipient won't be
able to forget you.

More details
------------

It's got real open and close quotes, em-dashes, and typesetter-like
punctuation spacing. And you can pick your own color scheme, if
black-on-white doesn't suit you.

You can go forward or back a page or a chapter, increase or decrease
font size, pick a new book, go to the beginning, or back to the Library
with one click/keystroke (EACH!).

The player plays the compressed format, so the books don't expand
to unmanageable size on your system.

Gosh, where can I get one of these?
-----------------------------------
Please try the shareware version. It's got Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's
first Sherlock Holmes mystery, A Study in Scarlet. It's an easy 190K
download. We're pretty sure if you try it, you'll consider registering.

It's available now, on:
