For those of you not attending the NFB Research and Development
committee meeting on Friday January 27, 1995, allow me to apologize for
taking up some of your E-space with some committee administrivia. Also,
I'd like to say that when the meeting is complete and the projects for the
new year are out on the table, we will be very eager to have our observers
contribute to our ongoing research, conversation, and general
brainstorming. I believe it is accurate to say that without the diversity
we have achieved on this list, many of the ideas, projects, and problems we
have tackled in the past year would never have been addressed, solved, or
minimized to the extent that they have. The observers on this list have
given immeasurable amounts of insight to the committee and have helped to
make it an even more viable group than it already was. thank you very much
for participating. We hope that you'll continue to do so as we move along.
With that said, allow me to address the issue of the meeting itself.
I am to that point where I am preparing to draw up my final pre-meeting
notes. In light of this situation, I would like to ask those of you who
will be attending the meeting to send me any items you may want to discuss
during the course of the meeting. Among other things, I have Dr. Nemeth
and John Miller talking about graphical calculators, Robert Jacquis talking
about capsule paper and 3-dimensional drawings, Dr. Cranmer talking about
the Braille unification project, and Harold Snyder talking about the USA
Today project.
If you could send me items that you may want to discuss as soon as
possible, I would be most appreciative.
Sincerely,
Brian Buhrow
