Judy Dixon told me about the Adobe software engineer who is supposed to be
working on a text-based reader for PDF.  I have sent her some mail expressing
interest in evaluating whatever they come out with.  GSA is also thinking about
developing something.  Right now, the only thing you can do with a PDF file
is read it with your Windows screen reader, and copy each screen into the 
Clipboard, then save the Clipboard somewhere.  
    There was a good article about Acrobat and the PDF format in the January
PC Cpomputing, in the section on communicating between PC's and Macs.
    I'll keep you posted whenever I hear something to report.
