About the Optacon:
One thing we should do is recycle all the Optacons on rehab/institutional shelves. We have a blind guy among us, Richard Oehm (408-971-6250), a former repair technician at TSI, who is good at fixing any up through the R1D.
Ask him if he will train new technicians (as he is busy with his own company stuff) so we can put some of the old ones back on the air. He has kept mine and my wife's running for 10 years.
