Hello:
Recently, I was appointed as the NFB of Oregon's representative on
the
Talking Book and Braille Services (TBABS) (Oregon's regional library.).
today, was my first meeting and it proved interesting. The one item, that
I thought might interest you is that Oregon has 1200 (twelve hundred)
broken machines awaiting repair. I find this amazing. I wonder if other
regional libraries are in a similar position? If so, is there an
opportunity for the NFB to get training and volunteer experience for the
blind repairing these machines? Just throwing out an idea for discussion.
