Hi R and D Committee:
We've gotten some solid senior project ideas in the week since I
posted a call for the entire R and D committee to submit ideas. As
you recall, such ideas can and should be project which can be
accomplished in no longer than nine months, and for budgets less than
$10,000.
You may also recall that the real world University deadlines demand
that we have our ideas ready to start shopping around starting in
less than one month. Our deadline is, in fact Monday, March 16 at 5 pm PST.
In upcoming days I'd like to invite you to think hard about practical
projects we would like to see come to fruition. To date I've
recieved ideas from only about ten percent of the committee, and my
conversations with you tell me that almost all of you have
interesting ideas I've yet to see on paper. So I invite you to
dream, invent and write down short proposals such as the ones you
have all seen on this list already. I am also inviting each of you
to email or phone me if you have further or specific questions we
might explore together.
To my mind assembling and distributing our collective development
aspirations is one of the most exciting things we can do as a
committee and I look forward to learn more about your inventiveness.
