Re: Message identification and classification

First, I would note that the problems you describe are not unique to
your situation because the underlying transport mechanism for mail does not
guarantee that messages will be received in the order sent. So, my
solution is to read the date of the message and hope that the sender
included some contextual information to help me parse the message more
accurately and quickly.
Perhaps this message is better interpreted as a request for a little
more contextual information on the part of some of the people on the
mailing list. Tim, for example, regularly does not include subject lines
with his messages. It would be helpful if he would include subjects with
his messages. I do not mean to say that Tim should absolutely put subjects
in, only to point out a case and point where some context would be useful.
I hope these comments will help some Arnold and that you will continue
to give feed back as to the problems you may be having reading and
distributing mail with the list.
-Sincerely,
-Brian
