I agree that a mouse may not be necessary. I like the idea of an
external keypad that would do nothing but simulate mouse movements. The
trouble is that a mouse with a braille dispaly would be so expensive for
that use alone that few could afford it. I beleive that a braille
display must be versatile enough for other uses to justify its
existence. It would make more sense to build some kind of a keypad into
an ordinary braille display.
