The Clarinet News Service provides a lot of useful information. Certain
things, however, must be kept in mind. On our server, it seems that old
stories often persist for several days. This is particularly true of the
Gopher and WWW servers.

The newsgroups for each state leave something to be desired. Under the
old system, UPI feeds were provided of newsw for selected states. A full
slate of stories was given for those states. Now, few articles are
present fo each state, but the news is often not very comprehensive. My
understanding is that only stories by AP writers, not by contributing
newspaper reporters, is included.

International news is quite comprehensive. Another excellent feature is
the newsbytes feed. Some of you may remember this service from the
Microtalk BBS. The feed from Clarinet appears to be more comprehensive.
