JOB NAME: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supervise 18 employees to obtain maximum utilization of resources and
to meet performance and quality objectives related to receiving,
storing, order picking, re-packaging, and shipping lamps to Defense
General Supply Center (DGSC) customers.
Train new employees.
Maintain required reports.
Meet customer shipment schedules.
Insure that all equipment and the building is properly maintained.
Enforce company and plant policies and procedures.
Open and close the distribution center for operations.
Maintain an accurate inventory.
Supervise the operation of computer support systems.
Maintain safe working procedures.
Act as an alternate contract manager in communicating and resolving
issues with DGSC.
Be on call to supervise the processing of special emergency orders.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
College graduate with business related degree or equivalent
experience.
PREFERRED JOB SKILLS:
Four or more years warehouse supervisory experience
Computer literate
Experienced with computer inventory management software.
Forklift License
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
Four or more years warehouse supervisory experience
Computer literate
